Since Agon Environmental was founded in 2014, our goal has been to provide strategic, outcome-based hazardous materials and site contamination advice to a diverse range of clients across government, infrastructure, and development sectors.

With over 5,000 successfully completed projects across metropolitan, rural, and regional Australia, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, cost-effective solutions. We understand our clients’ goals and ambitions, and by tailoring our services to meet their objectives, we ensure their satisfaction and build long-lasting partnerships.

Our Accreditations and Commitment to Quality

At Agon, we have built a robust internal quality management system, achieving certifications that reflect our commitment to excellence:

  • ISO 9001 (Quality Management): Demonstrating our unwavering commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality service across all projects.
  • ISO 14001 (Environmental Management): Reflecting our commitment to minimising environmental impact, this certification underscores our sustainable practices.
  • ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety): Prioritising the safety of our team and clients, this certification demonstrates our adherence to the highest international safety standards.
  • ISO/IEC 17025 (Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories): This accreditation guarantees the precision and reliability of our laboratory testing and calibration processes.

These certifications are integral to how we manage risk and continually improve. Our management team regularly reviews our targets in areas like environmental responsibility, financial performance, quality, and work health and safety, ensuring we deliver the best outcomes for our clients and community.

Leading with Risk Management

At Agon, we follow a risk management approach to every project. Whether it’s health and safety risks, environmental impacts, or project-specific challenges, we are proactive in identifying potential hazards and addressing them. Compliance with all relevant regulatory standards is a given for us, but we go further by embedding continual improvement into our culture.

Creating a positive and safe workplace is also key to our approach. We believe that a healthy, happy team is critical to delivering excellent services, so we prioritise health and safety in all our operations. Our internal quality management system ensures we meet and exceed industry standards, enabling us to consistently provide reliable, top-tier consultancy services.

Our Accredited Asbestos Laboratories

Our asbestos laboratories, located in Adelaide, Darwin, and Melbourne, have achieved NATA accreditation. This means our facilities are recognised for meeting the highest quality standards for asbestos testing and monitoring. In our labs, we offer services like:

  • Airborne Fibre Monitoring
  • Asbestos in Soils
  • Asbestos Bulk Sample Identification
  • Serpentine Identification in Bulk Samples by XRD
  • Crystalline Silica (Mass) – Quartz by XRD

These services are essential for ensuring safe environments and reducing the risks associated with hazardous materials. We take pride in our technical expertise and the reliability of our testing results.

Our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP)

In September 2021 Agon Environmental received endorsement for our first Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) from Reconciliation Australia. This was a significant step for us in recognising and playing an active role in reconciliation with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.

Through our REFLECT plan, we’ve outlined specific actions to strengthen relationships through knowledge sharing, awareness, and creating employment opportunities. We recognise the importance of including the voices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples in everything we do and aim to make a positive impact in this space.
