Renewal SA engaged Agon to assess and remediate the Dock 1 site at Port Adelaide for a residential subdivision. The docklands had fallen into disrepair, and the State Government took over the sites to revitalise the Port Adelaide region. For this work, Agon reviewed historical data from the late 1800s to understand the past practices that need to be managed for the future development of the site. A number of previous assessments had been completed over time; however, there were significant data gaps, and by working with Renewal SA, Agon designed a pragmatic assessment program for soil and groundwater investigations. Again, by working with Renewal SA and the Auditor, Agon developed remediation plans, supervised works, and ensured compliance with audit standards, completing the project on time and within budget.
Agon worked with Renewal SA, the Developer, the Auditor and the Contractor to ensure a fully integrated and cooperative approach for completing the remediation works.
